The safety of our patients and colleagues at St Ellen’s is paramount. That is why we wanted to share with you, what we are doing during the Covid-19 Pandemic, to help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
Upon arrival, all patients are required to complete a COVID-19 screening questionnaire and have their temperature checked. The questionnaire helps in identifying patients with current or past infection or with current exposure and risk of infection. If the patient is considered to be high risk they will be asked to reschedule their consultation or appointment no less than 14 days after they complete the questionnaire and temperature check at St Ellen’s.
St Ellen’s will follow all guidelines set out by the Scottish government on the use of testing to monitor staff by routinely using symptom questionnaires and daily temperature monitoring of all clinic staff and patients.
Appropriate PPE is provided to all staff and infection control principles adhered to. Staff have received additional training with regards to proper COVID-19 infection control methods. We are also asking all patients to wear a mask or face covering and use the hand sanitiser provided at reception on arrival – adhering to government guidelines.
Prior to surgery, each patient is required to provide a negative PCR test and will be expected to self isolate once tested prior to your surgery.
